- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -
Reinvesting in business expansion and capacity through new technologies, new hires and new product development, Express Image refuses to rest on past accomplishments.
In a time where company lay-offs and business shut-downs are a norm due to the downturned economy, Express Image is not only still in business but continues to experience growth and expansion.
Starting as a screen-printing company that generated a majority of its revenue from the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Industry, Express Image was never hesitant to make the move into digital territory when they saw opportunity.
“We’re a forward-thinking company. It’s not about being comfortable, it’s about diversification and being an industry leading organization, providing more products and capacities to help our customers be as successful as possible,” said company President, Jeff Sarenpa.
In the past year, Express Image added a new digital press to their lineup (the Inca Onset S20), hired a former UV Curable Ink Chemist as Vice President of Marketing and New Business Development (Michael Sloan), launched a new print video product line (Active Graphics), launched a ‘green’ recycling program (StyGreen), and still managed to completely fill their new press with work for the upcoming year. To top it all off, Express Image just ordered an additional Inca Onset S40 (30% faster than the S20) due in by the first week in January 2012.
“Tough times don’t last, but tough proactive companies do. Looking toward 2012, we have zero intentions of coasting."

The newly installed Inca Onset S40 digital press at Express Image makes it possible for retail customer’s to receive speed, quality and service at a reasonable price.
In the printing world, it’s often been thought that when it comes to speed, quality and service, you can’t have all three. Contrary to this belief, Express Image consistently delivers on all three of these fronts. Combining the power of their Inca S20 digital press with their new, fully automated S40 digital press, retailer customers no longer have to sacrifice quality for speed or speed for quality. Hence, enabling marketers to bring high quality graphics and displays to market on tight deadlines.
“After seeing what our S20 can do, there was no hesitation in whether or not to add an S40 to our digital lineup,” stated Jeff Sarenpa, President of Express Image. He continued, “Realistically, we can now turn projects same-day for our customers if they really needed us to.”

The S40 not only expands Express Image’s digital capacity, but in combination with the S20, it provides a digital redundancy that assures customers receive products on time, no matter what. Tripling the speed at which they can respond to retailers’ ever-changing marketing needs, the S40 produces superb retail and Point-of-Purchase (POP) quality display graphics at throughput speeds over 100 sheets (63”x123.6”) per hour.
For retail businesses where close viewing distances are common for signage and displays, the S40 provides smooth color transitions and absolutely zero banding. Also, the ability to change gloss levels (satin through to gloss) and vary graphics and/or copy per job make the S40 a versatile production tool for a wide variety of end applications, including affordable personalized marketing campaigns and promotions.

Active Graphics enables national retailers to take the customer experience to the next level by combining high quality print with high-definition video and creating the potential to tie in social media marketing campaigns.
Changing the concept of print as it existed, Express Image brings Active Graphics - a high-tech print video product line intended for the use of interactive printing.
Combining High Definition printing with High-Definition video, Active Graphics takes retail branding to a whole new level. Set the scene with high quality printed graphics, and then choose a strategic area(s) to drop out and replace with High Definition video.
“Say your latest store-front graphic featured a static television in the background. Now, imagine if that television was interactive, playing a movie or commercial. Or say maybe it’s a large print of a coffee mug in a store-front, and you add steam rising from the cup with video,” stated Mike Sloan, VP of Marketing and New Business Development at Express Image.
Active Graphics is all about enhancing retailers’ existing static signage and displays by adding an engaging interactive edge.
Choose from various types of projection film -– OptiBlack, OptiSmoke, OptiGrey, OptiVue, OptiFrost, OptiFrost 360 and OptiClear, and watch as the skilled Express Image content designers bring your printed graphic displays to life. From unique large format storefront window displays to interactive trade show booths and displays, the possibilities are endless with Active Graphics.
